THIS IS PIMPED OUT BOYZ

Exclusive Biography
Establishment
Pimped Out Boyz was established in 2006 by a group of High School friends as a ‘Brotherhood’ (clique/fraternity) consisting of 10 members walking the Johannesburg streets wearing black t-shirts with bold simple print in white: “P.O.B” in the front and “DA BROTHERHOOD” at the back. This was shortly after we affirmed the popularity crowned name: “Pimped Out Boys”.

007 – The Birth Of Music
Within the clique was a large interest in fashion, social events and music. Music played a large role in the group and so did looks and talent J, we were pronounced as “those guys with a lot of swagger” and little did people know we were also actually talented musicians until we recorded a demo for a label we were approached by in Sandton City while chilling at the mall. That had P.O.B recording songs every weekend to meet the demo deadline (1 month from the date).
Bluetooth Generation
In the process of recording our demo, we distributed our songs to our schools every Monday after a weekend of recording. During those times; we call the “Bluetooth Generation” because Bluetooth phones were new on the market and everybody wanted to transfer files and competing in that too. That worked to our advantage because we would send a song in the morning and every phone would be playing it by break time, TRUE STORY!
Our songs grew to neighbouring schools and schools around the Johannesburg West and North. From then on we were recognised as “Swagger Rappers From The West” namely Pimped Out BoyZ. Songs from then are still loved and spoke about till date!

Years of Perfection
After months of the Bluetooth BUZZ(popularity peak), Pimped Out Boyz were getting approached by various record labels, promoters, and managers, but after many meetings, pattern of empty promises dulled spirits, until a friend told them about a producer/engineer in the west Bongani “Faceless” of Mambo Production. P.O.B started recording at Faceless’s home based studio were they got to polish up on skill and microphone delivery.
[2008] After months of recording, we met up with DJ BIONIC at his media house with a 17 track EP, because of age and TIME EFFICIENCY he had his doubts and referred us to a book... we got that book “The Music Business” the same day and started learning the inn’s and outs of the South African and International music business. Thanks Mr Brad!
[2011] Now with their Fresh- producing skill, Crisp- original sound and Clear- musical outlook along with their Pimped Out Boy attitudes and “un-explanatory” swag, they are surely hitting the South African music industry - unfolding 4years of perfectionist work to the red carpet nationally and internationally, following years of industry growth, performances and studio time. It is now time for the P.O.B TAKEOVER!
